Big brands like Nike must take care of the smallest details of their facilities, as they are all a reflection of their image. Doing this right, the clients who come to visit the points of sale will feel comfortable while shopping in the store.

At the Nike store in Castellon, we have recently performed a complete renovation of the flooring. We have done a thorough work of sand brushing the concrete floor, deep cleaning it, priming and finishing the surface with epoxy paint.

During the preparation of the surface, the floor was sandbrushed to eliminate the superficial impurities and to open up the pores of the surface. This preparation obtains a perfect anchorage of the products that will be applied afterwards.

The second part of the process was to clean the concrete surface to eliminate the remains of the brushing.

On a perfectly clean floor, different kinds of paint were applied: one layer of transparent priming based on two-components, to affix and to harden the surface. Then the floor was treated with high quality epoxy paint that adheres strongly to the ground.

On top of the first layer, two more layers of specialepoxy paint of two components were applied, to provide a glossy finish, highly durable and very resistant to constant use.

The complete work has been carried out, out of the normal opening hours, to avoid interrupting the customer attention, or cause any losses of income.

Many stores and business premises use polished concrete floors, like Nike. This flooring has many advantages that make the investment worth it’s cost. Polished concrete floors can make elegant solutions, and do not go out of style. They can accommodate buildings of a great variety of designs, and additionally concrete is a material that requires little maintenance because of it’s high resistance.
